We use the CEREC® inLab CAD/CAM technology to fabricate copings for all of our restorations. Our bridge copings are made of Vita In-Ceram® Zirconia, which enables more delicate frameworks to be created while leaving room for the ceramic work. This material is far more translucent than metal.
For crowns, we use either the In-Ceram® Zirconia described above or IPS e.max®. IPS e.max® is a lithium disilicate ceramic that provides strength and esthetics. If a bridge is required, we use In-Ceram, if not we use IPS e.max®.
For veneers, we use Vita Mark II® blocks. These copings can be milled very thin and are very translucent, allowing for optimal esthetics.
We use Vita VM9® porcelain for Mark II copings, Vita VM7® for In-Ceram copings, and Ceram and crystal porcelain for e.max copings. We use the Vita 3D Master Shade Guide for the Vita restorations, and the traditional Vita Shade Guide for e.max.
